A range of options

Learning should be fun!

For groups of twenty or more school children, we offer discounted admission rates and four unique educational packages that are an optional bolt-on to your visit.

Making it easy for you

All groups are met by a member of staff on the bus who will issue wrist bands.

Groups are taken into the park and if a cabin has been hired, packed lunches can be dropped off there. If not, bags can be left under the lean-to.

The host will carry out a formal introduction to the whole group and give a brief health and safety talk.

To check availability please email or call 0191 386 8291. Once you’ve confirmed availability, please complete the booking form at the bottom of this page.

School Visit Terms and Conditions

Farmers – £1.50 extra per child

For a minimum of 20 paying children.

The morning activity consists of (usually) three animal activities such as Rabbit and Guinea Pig Petting, Meet the Mini Beasts and Reptiles, or goat-walking, paddock walk etc.

Depending upon your group size this is usually followed by a Tractor and Trailer ride just for your group. After which the group is then taken to wash their hands and taken back to the cabin for lunch. The afternoon is then all yours to use the play facilities at your leisure.

Mini Beasts – £1.50 extra per child

For between 20 and 100 children.

Taking place in the Showtime Theatre, children will handle and learn about the resident insects and reptiles at Adventure Valley.

The show generally lasts between 60-90 minutes and is tailored to the age of the children.

We can also tailor activities to any specific topics such as food chains, life cycles, habitats, etc.

After the session, children are taken to wash their hands and then taken to their cabin for lunch. The afternoon is their own free time.

Pizza Chefs – £2 extra per child

For a minimum of 20 paying children.

Before handling any food and becoming Pizza Chefs, all the children are first taken to wash their hands.

This activity helps children to understand the field-to-fork process. We explain what ingredients have gone into making the dough and go back a stage to show them a wheat plant and the bare grain.

We then hand out individual balls of dough to roll and place on their own pizza tray.

Once all the children have made and decorated their own pizza they are taken to wash their hands again and allowed to go and play in the Indoor Play Town while the pizzas are cooked ready for them to eat for lunch.

The afternoon is their own free time to explore Adventure Valley.

Bird of Prey – £1.50 extra per child

For a minimum of 20 paying children

Led by the Adventure Valley falconer, children enjoy a private informative and interactive flying demonstration which lasts usually 45 minutes.

As the birds generally fly and perform better early afternoon, the private Bird of Prey Show starts between 12:30 and 13:00.

After which the group are once again able to use the park at their leisure.
